Investment Analyst for 36-40 hours per week

 

 Profile

The Investment Analyst supports the investment team in guiding investments in innovative tech companies.

 

What will you do?

As an Investment Analyst you:

  • support the Investment Team in guiding an investment from A to Z;
  • analyze and interpret all business aspects of (potential) investments ;
  • analyze and apply knowledge of competitors and the market environment of the investments;
  • follow the technological, industrial and market trends of both new investments and for the existing portfolio;
  • support in monitoring, reporting and, if necessary, adjusting the financial activities of the investments.

 

 Who are we looking for?

You are:

  • passionate and curious about tech start-ups and scale-ups and in how new technologies can help accelerate impact and financial returns. Interest in health technology is a plus;
  • well versed in financial analysis;
  • pragmatic and committed to a high level of quality;
  • entrepreneurial and driven and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

 

You have:

  • an education in (Business) Economics or a technical study complemented by a financial education and/or financial experience;
  • 1 to 2 years of work experience in VC investing, PE, banking/M&A or strategy consulting;
  • strong interest in the sustainability of the economy;
  • excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (both oral and written).

VACANCY VENTURE CAPITAL SCOUT (INTERNSHIP)

 

Borski Fund is a tech and innovation venture capital firm based in Amsterdam. As a founding member of the #FundRight initiative, Borski Fund is dedicated to supporting female founded ventures in order to close the gender investment gap and stimulate innovation and growth.  To give ambitious students and recent graduates the opportunity to learn about the venture capital industry and work alongside our team in sourcing and assessment of investment opportunities and management of portfolio companies, we are looking for a venture capital intern. As an intern at Borski Fund you have the opportunity to be part of the first female founded venture capital firm in the Netherlands, in which you are able to make real impact. Since Borski Fund is part of StartGreen Capital, a multi fund manager with €340m under management, you will be part of an ambitious and multidisciplinary team of 24 investment professionals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern you will be:

  • Contributing to all aspects of deal flow from sourcing, screening and evaluating new investment opportunities to due diligence and closing;
  • Conducting due diligence on new ventures, including specific analyses (human capital scan, market attractiveness, competitive environments, financial analyses);
  • Performing deep dives into technology areas and market trends that could be of interest to Borski Fund and its potential investments;
  • Helping prepare internal investment proposals, fund reporting and other documentation;
  • Supporting internal and external communications and organization of events.

 

REQUIREMENTS

We look for candidates that have the following requirements:

  • Strong academic credentials, ideally graduating in a MSc degree in business, finance or engineering.
  • Affinity with technology and entrepreneurship;
  • Team player with strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Analytical, data-driven, strong problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English.

As an intern at Borski Fund you have the opportunity to be part of the first female founded venture capital firm in the Netherlands, in which you are able to make real impact and play a role in the marketing and communications of the fund. Since Borski Fund is part of StartGreen Capital, a multi fund manager with €450m under management, you will be part of an ambitious and multidisciplinary team of 32 professionals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a marketing intern you will be:

  • supporting an enthusiastic driven team in a young sector that shakes the established financial world to its foundations
  • Translating trends and innovations in the field of sustainability and tech innovations into content marketing ideas
  • Designing social assets, decks, and other visual materials
  • Responsible for community management and website maintenance
  • Keeping social media up to date

 

REQUIREMENTS

We look for candidates that have the following requirements:

  • Following a HBO/WO study in the direction of communication/marketing, business administration/economics, entrepreneurship, or other relevant study area
  • Commercial insight and strong communication skills
  • You like to be up to date with the latest trends & innovations in the field of sustainability and entrepreneurship
  • Have an understanding of how an organisation uses social media
